ArtScience Museum // Dreamworks Animation: The Exhibition & The Deep

Hello!! I am back hehehe. So I came back from Bangkok 2 weeks ago and I havent even unpack my thing omg. But that trip was a getaway that I needed :'') It was too short of a trip because I felt that I havent shopped enough but its fine. I came back with at least an extra 5-7kg of clothes and its all mine. Shopping heaven because most of the time I dont need to consider since it was so cheap like 100bht = $4??? So really damn shiok hahaha. Yes, I shopped 4 days straight and have my dinner at 10pm almost every night ahahaha. I rly didnt do much besides shopping in Bangkok so this is the only update you'll probably get hahahaha

Ok, so I visited the ArtScience Museum with Brendan before I flew off to Bangkok the next day. I've always wanted to visit it even before the free visit during the jubilee weekend but it always gets postpone :( I think cos everytime either something happen or we wake up too late for the visit. But I finally visted the ttwo ongoing exhibitions!!! Safe to say that I enjoyed the Dreamworks exhibition alot more because it was my kinda thing (cartoons and stuff) hahaha but The Deep was actually very informative but too many words for my eyes to take.

We decided to visit The Deep first and it was a wrong decision because we spent way more time than we should have inside which meant that our time in the other exhibition was gna be lesser :( So if youre still more a child than an adult, take my advice and go to the Dreamswork exhibition first hahaha And please start earlier like at 1pm? Because we started at 3pm and I felt that it wasnt enough since they close at 7pm. So you can break down the hours and visit all three exhibitions. I didnt manage to go see the Singapore one since we didnt have time :(

The deep was all fossils of dead deep sea creatures LOL. It was rly kinda gross hahaha and I expected it to have like life fishes and that it was gna be like a aquarium but that was a dumb thought la obviously cos they already stated that it was fishes from the deeeeeep hahaha. Every panel had so many words and information on it then I gave up half way. I just walked the exhibition and look at all the pictures and fossils and I just refer to the information at the side if I see anything interesting hahahahaha. It was rly dark like the deep hahaha. I did really learn some stuff about the deep sea creatures like some of them can glow and tbh it was interesting and would have been more interesting if it was an audio to listen to or something, instead of making us read everything by ourselves hahaha but oh well hahaha

Next, it was my heaven!!! Dreamworks Animation exhibition. I love How to Train Your Dragon and like Shrek and Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda and alllllll. It was pretty amazing and no words!!! There will be a TV and this thing that will project the sound to the spot where you should stand. It will be about the various people who made the animation come alive. It can be the cartoonist or the voice actors and all.

There will be clay figurines in the boxes after the entrance and it did bring back alot of memories hehehe. They have clay figurines of Antz characters and Shark Tales and alot more!!! There will be alot of tvs with short clips for you to watch on different cartoons as you walk in. There were also interactive tvs to play with then we max everything then Po looked so weird hahaha. There was also this screen thing that i was amazed cos they projected how they drew the story out. It was on Shrek and the scene was lord faquar killing gingerbread man hahaha.

We got to made our own flipbook(?) thing and it was just tearing paper and using a paperclip to secure them together. There was this dragon's flight for How To Train Your Dragon and I enjoyed it hehehe. They also talked about how the background came about and those subtle things in the story. Like did you know Tai Lang's colour is always blue, like even the fire!! and Wu Gui is green because jade in chinese history represents purity? Mind blown right!!! At least to me la hahahaha. They also had this tv to teach how to draw and has a drawing room beside it, but then it was full so i didnt get to try.

I wanted to get the merchandises because it was so pretty but damn ex :(( And ok now i am reminded that I havent watched the Croods yet. I watched it half way while having dinner in the locker room HAHAHA shhh. But yup, this wraps up my trip to the museum!! & it rly wasnt pricey at all. It was only $20 for two exhibitions which was worth it. MBS there somemore leh hahahaha ok byebye, till next update hahaha
