Earlier this month, one of our teachers from school sent us an email for this culinary thing at USS for us to go fulfill our 40h praticum for fabm (food and beverage managment) module. The pay was attractive and i wasnt sure whether some wine company we signed up for is gonna pay us so it was a great alternative. Before the papers, brendan and i sent in our particulars and arranged for an "interview" after our exams. i really really thought it was gonna be an interview but they just brought us to where we were suppose to work at when we start and answer any doubts. Maybe they are really short of manpower but who cares since ive got the job already. And another incentive was to clock >300 hours i think to get 12 tickets free to USS and many other attractions. So maybe, MAYBE, i will try to clock that many hours. hahaha ohyes! another thing is free transport home if we work until 12am and FREE FOOD at the cafeteria hahaha i really hope its gonna be easy and lets just hope for the best!
After that we went to starbucks to chill and wait for our ifly. i booked it at 8:30 because i wasnt sure what time the interview was gonna end and there wasnt exactly any plan. so we waited till 6 before heading over to the beach station where ifly was located at. i bought my own starbucks card and redeemed the free drink hehehe and i obviously got the green tea frap because it was my ultimate favourite. i do not need to emphasis much on my love for matcha. we got the corner seat hurray hehehe and it was very cosyyyy
so this was how it went. at 8:30 we were finally called in to this room where they showed a video (i really cant remember what was it about) but they claimed that it was just like skydiving minus the landing and shitz. onto the training room where the instructor would come in to teach us the position to be in when flying and hand signals. then finally heading on to the flight itself. i had to remove all my jewellery which included my havent-fully-healed helix and all the other earrings. it freaking bled but i was like ok nvm it was gonna be fun and still i was so excited.
each of us had 2 flights and you can add on another one for $30 which the instructor will fly you up and down the tunnel. but i dont bloody understand why do we need to pay extra to actually have fun for something we have already paid so much for? cant 1/2 of the flights be like that?? and not to mention the time spent in the tunnel was so short that i cant even remember how it felt like flying. im sure it wouldnt be the same for actual skydiving where i will feel the thrill and my heart reacting to it. its like going in and trying to fly and the instructor is there tugging you whenever you are too near to the wall of the tunnel. but really, no fun at all. argh. and i didnt add the $30 flight because i felt that i would have wasted another $30 on top of the $60 if i did. my hair was so tangled that it took me 20 of pulling the comb through my hair to untangle.
(took these photos before the flight when i was excited & MY PHOTO IS RUINED TOO ARGH) & i had a free photo from the ndp voucher so i smiled to make sure i wouldnt waste that was well sighpiex
so fucking disppointed and so not worth it man. thats all i can say. no words can express my frustration argh i wont ever do it again like EVER. i should have spent that money on the gmax reverse bungy PLUS gx5 extreme swing which would only cost me $50 and im pretty darn sure i will feel a thing. im feeling so mad right now asdfghjkl
ok its over cass no point crying over spilled milk. on the bright side, my taobao things came today and so did my skinnymint!!! cant wait to wear all the new clothes and shoe i got. and to lose weight *FINGERS CROSSED* i have to exercise diligently now hahaha
ok byebye, shall end this post with a photo of mah fat face.
